Costs and Contributions

As a small non commercial venture there is no fee, though a recommended contribution towards the boat’s upkeep and maintenance is expected.

Unfortunately, built in 2001, Nanaia, like the skipper is getting a little old and jaded.   However, every year we try to make some improvements.  Through 2018 and 2019 it was new sails, dinghy and outboard, phone charging points in  each cabin, and cooling fans also in each of the cabins.   2021 a new cooker. In 2022 we fitted a replacement engine.  2023 a new rear toilet

Repairs for 2026 will include new cupboard handles and rope clutch handles, navigation lights and solar panel re-wiring, new shower pump and a new domestic battery plus replacing the sealant in the stanchions

Besides the new tax for Leisure boats in 2019, in 2025 Grimaldi lines bought out the harbours at Sivota and P on the mainland tripling mooring fees while fees at Petriti and on Paxos doubled.  Yet:

For 2026 recommended contributions will be the same as the last five years i.e. £200 per person per week on individual bookings weeks (£250 for sole occupancy of a double cabin) , and £800 per week for the whole boat.  This includes everything except flights and food.

With diesel prices going through the roof ,  we have also had to ask for £20 from all individuals as a contribution towards fuel costs
